Trauma Therapy

When we experience a distressing event, memories are left unprocessed. This can leave us experiencing flashbacks, distress, mood dysregulation, relationship difficulties and phobias weeks, months or even years later. This may be a single event trauma, attachment trauma, or a series of events that occurred over a period of time.

I specialise in using Eye Movement Desensitisation and Processing Therapy (EMDR) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) to support individuals to process traumatic memories. Once these memories are processed, individuals experience relief from distress, and are able to move on from the traumatic event or series of events.
